SpaceDesign
The spaces we inhabit are very personal should not look like it’s out of Architectural Digest, but exude the character of its’ inhabitants. A space should have a little whimsy and not take itself too seriously, just as we should in life. That doesn’t mean it has to shout at you and now show lovely sophistication, but should leave the person in it to wonder why they feel so goo while in it, almost like that perfect hat that is just right for your noggin. Be it lighting, color, texture, or scale–every inch should relate to the other in harmonious communion. From stage to common space to exterior walls, my projects should be like ancient hieroglyphics that can be translated in the future to help understand the people that used it, their language and their culture. Just like when you journey or “trek” to inner and outer space, it should be “where no man (or woman) has gone before.” Totally unique.
From stadium stages to workplaces, event venues to public walls, creative choices should enhance and put a spotlight on the character of the space. Be it lighting, color, texture, or scale, every inch of your space should relate to the other in harmonious communion. The space should be like ancient hieroglyphics that can be translated in the future to help understand the people that used it–their creative language and culture.
